Does hypnosis for smoking really work? What if you say something stupid while you're under?

My insurance covers it, so there must be something to it. Has anyone ever tried it?

But really…..what happens when they put you out? I'm scared I'm going to start rambling and divulging embarrassing facts.

Is this a possibility?

I tried hypnosis to quit smoking. You are not really under - as in not knowing what you are doing. You are just really extremely relaxed and more able to accept suggestions. It didn't work for me. I tried accupuncture and that worked from my very first visit. The best thing about it was that I didn't have nicotine withdrawal. I didn't gain weight either. I hope this was helpful. Good Luck

    ya it works my friends did it and they havent smoked since. u wont say anything. ur under whatever u only do what they say

    I tried that & didn't work for me. You are not totally under, only relaxed.
    I hear that you will not do anything that is not natural for you to do. Be sure to go to a reputable person.

    Sure does. A friend and I went to one that came to town back in 96.
    We both quit smoking from then on. I don't remember being "put out",
    as we could hear everything going on. Forgot the guys name, but he came to New Mexico from California and was pretty famous, and damn good at it.

    Yes, Hypnosis is easy, long lasting way to stop smoking. I don't have personal experience about hypnosis and addiction but I used hypnosis for weight loss and works great for me.
